Cleaning up operation |

Midyear 2007 the owners of the hotel together with the farmers association, AGRA (a local retail outlet) and with the cooperation of the town council, started a cleaning-up operation of the streets of Maltahoehe, which were an eyesore for every visitor who came to town. |

A couple of workers were hired and rubbish of all kinds was picked up and transported to the rubbish dump over a number of days. Due to lack of funds, Maltahoehe’s dump is unfortunately nonexistent, and all rubbish is strewn over a wide area and sometimes set alight. Rubbish drums have been erected by the Hotel owners at strategic sites in the village and are well used by the locals. |
